Natalie and George were married on Saturday at St Thomas’ Church in Kingswear, Devon followed by a marquee reception in their friend’s beautiful garden. Natalie who is from Texas didn’t stop smiling all day despite the British weather not being too kind!

Alison and Deon were married on Thursday at Babington House in Somerset. It was a lovely day with clear skies and a light wind throughout the day - perfect weather for a wedding! The ceremony took place in the small chapel in the grounds of the house followed by a drinks reception on the lawn with a jazz band providing musical entertainment. The meal was followed by some hilarious speeches including one by two of Deon’s three best men and the evening ended with dancing to the brilliant Joe Stilgoe Trio. Alison and Deon are going on honeymoon round Europe ending up in Venice - a very special place for the two of us. We know they will love it!

We have just returned from a three day trip to Switzerland to photograph the wedding of Rose and Henry in Ascona. The ceremony took place in the lovely Chiesa di San Pietro followed by a reception at the Eden Roc hotel which is situated right on the bank of Lake Maggiore. The day was full of individual touches including decoration of the church with candles and lots of white flowers, a horse drawn carriage too and from the church, a drinks reception on the jetty, an outdoor first dance and cake cutting and a huge fireworks display over the lake. It was a great day and a pleasure for us to be a part of.

Bev and I have just been confirmed as speakers at the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) convention in London in January 2009. We have not been told the exact date or time of our Seminar “The Customer is King” but if there are any photographers who would like to come and meet us or see what we have to say we will post further details on the Blog when we have them. Do come along and say hello!
Elly and Andy had the perfect day for their wedding in Sturminster Newton. The ceremony took place at St Mary’s church follwed by the reception in Durweston. The theme for the day was peacocks and the colours that they had incorporated into the details were gorgeous. In the evening, Elly’s swing band took to the stage to entertain the guests. We had a great time at their wedding and we look forward to catching up when they get back from honeymoon.
