WPPI 2010 accolade of excellence for the album “Leila”

We were very pleased to learn yesterday that Barrie’s entry in the informal (non-event) album competition at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) awards has received an Award of Excellence scoring 85%. This competition is entered by the very best photographers in the World and Awards of Excellence are very hard to come by. Barrie would like to thank our friend and model, Leila and Lorraine Clay of Rouge Makeovers who both helped with the shoot at Goodwood.

SWPP Monthly Gold Awards

These are images scoring over 80% which go forward to a final judging in London in January. Barrie received Gold awards for three images this month in the categories of Publicity & PR, Monochrome and Contemporary Wedding.

We had a successful month in the SWPP Monthly image competition with a total of five images being awarded Golds. These are images scoring over 80% which go forward to a final judging in London in January. Bev received Gold awards for two images shot in Venice in April in Pictorial and Environmental Portraiture and also a Gold for the image of Fran and Toby at Wilton House from their wedding in August. Barrie was awarded Gold for his images from Evgeny and Polina’s wedding at Cliveden in August.

SWPP Awards for April

Barrie was very pleased to receive 4 Gold awards in the April SWPP competition. These all go forward to the finals judging in London in January 2010.

Accolades of excellence award WPPI 2009

We are really excited that Barrie has won two Accolades of Excellence at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers) convention in Las Vegas, USA in the 20″ x 16″ print competition. This is widely regarded as the best photographic competition anywhere with the judges being some of the best photographers in the World.
The images that won the Awards were successful in the individual portrait and wedding group categories.

Print awards for Barrie and Bev

We were both awarded a merit in the SWPP 16″ x 20″ print awards judged at the SWPP convention in London this week. The judging panel consisted of international judges chaired by Australian photographer David A Williams and including great names such as Gordon McGowan so for both of us to receive awards was a big honour!

November Fujifilm awards

Barrie won two awards in the Fujifilm Envisage awards for November, in fact he was the only winner in November! These results go though to the end of year judging and the overall winning photographer and subject of the winning image both win prizes.
