The Autumn wedding at Goodwood House of Ellie & Geoff
On Thursday I was once again at Goodwood House this time for the wedding of Ellie and Geoff, Ellie actually works at Goodwood and knowing the venue extremely well she made sure every little detail was just prefect for her own autumnal wedding at this amazing historical venue. Ellie looked fabulous in her Mori Lee wedding gown as she entered the yellow drawing room for her wedding ceremony, As she and Geoff made their vows in front of their closest friends and family they were both giggling with nerves and Geoff look very emotional when he first set eyes on Ellie as she walked down the aisle alongside her father.
It was a beautiful day at Goodwood with blue skies and warm sunshine in stark contrast to the weather forecast which just a couple of days before was predicting it to be wet and cold on their wedding day! While children ran around in the grounds of the House and the grown ups were sipping champagne cocktails we took a few moments away from the hustle and busy of a busy wedding day to get a few elegant photos of the newly married couple on their own. Ellie had always liked my wedding photography from previous weddings I have photographed at Goodwood House an din particular wanted a similar shot to one she had seen from a friends wedding I had photographed.
We took a drive down to where the start line would be for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a classic S Type Jaguar and took some great photos of them both in the treelined avenue and also form there looking back across the field of sheep towards Gooodwood House itself.
After arriving back at the house to mingle with their guests it was soon time for them to make their way the ballroom for their wonderful wedding breakfast, after everyone had enjoyed the delicious food prepared in house by the Goodwood Catering team it was time for some touching and often hilarious speeches by the father of the bride, the groom and then the best man, followed by a short speech and presentation of what would be Geoff's favourite part of the day a framed letter from Mauricio Pochettino to Geoff congratulating him on his marriage to Ellie and a few wise words for their future together as husband and wife. Being a die hard Spurs fan I think Geoff was nearly as pleased with this as he was with marrying Ellie!
After cutting the cake they went straight through for their first dance and very soon the dance floor was a riot of colour and interesting shapes as they looked set to party long into the night.
As a recommended wedding photographer at The Goodwood Estate I would be delighted to hear from you if you are planning a wedding at Goodwood House, Goodwood Hotel, The Kennels or an you the other Goodwood Estate wedding venues.
