Kenwood House Wedding
The Kenwood House wedding of Camilla and Nick. I was so excited to be photographing Nick and Camilla’s wedding at Kenwood House. I have photographed two other weddings of friends of their’s in the past. The fabulous destination wedding in Ascona Switzerland of Henry and Rose, and a brilliant winter wedding at Goodwood House of Scott and Emma, and it was lovely to catch up with them and see so many familiar faces at their wedding.
I met up with Nick and the guys at The Edinboro Castle in Camden where they were having brunch before heading off to the church to meet the guests and prepare for the arrival of the bride. The groom and his groomsmen looked great in their matching Ted Baker suits and after getting some shots of the guys I walked around the corner to the York and Albany where Camilla and her beautiful bridesmaids were getting ready. It was all very relaxed and the girls were having champagne and enjoying themselves while helping get Camilla into her stunning Pronovias wedding gown.
Outside The majestic Rolls Royce and classic Daimler were ready and waiting to take the bride and her father along with her mother and bridesmaids to the church in some style, and the sun shone down on them for their open topped ride to the church.
After a wonderful ceremony and fabulous music in the church the guests were taken in classic red route master buses to Kenwood House in Hampstead Heath where the wedding reception was to take place. Just as we arrived the weather had changed but undeterred the bride and groom were keen to have some photos with their wedding car outside Kenwood house before the cars departed.
Once inside Kenwood House, they had a marquee in the grounds for a champagne reception and a little time to get sone group photos of the wedding party and their families. I always think these are the photos that will be important to future generations years from now as they look back on their ancestors and I personally find it fascinating to look back on old photos of my family from years before. So I always make sure we get great group shots with nice light and classical posing that will never date and will stand the test of time.
The catering provided by Searcys was amazing with fantastic food and wonderful champagne and wine flowing all afternoon and long into the evening. After the meal but before the speeches I took the bride and groom away for just a few moments to get some of my signature images in the music room and then got them back in time to settle down to hear some of the most original and funny speeches I have ever heard! The time seemed to fly by and before we knew it, it was time to cut the wedding cake and get ready for the first dance.
It was such a great way to start the 2016 wedding season for me and I wish Camilla and Nick all the best for the future and I hope to see them at another wedding soon!
