London wedding of LucyAnne & Emmanuel

African wedding London

An African wedding London, yesterday I was in London to photograph the African wedding in London of Lucyanne and Emmanuel at St Mary’s Church in East London. They had a fantastic ceremony with some great singing and a very amusing story told by the pastor at the end of the ceremony. In the afternoon they moved onto their colourful reception and had the most amazing dancing and dance off’s between the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. After their traditional african meal which had an amazing variety and culture diversity of foods Fried rice, Jollof rice, Fried chicken, assorted meat, fried fish, moi-moi, tomato stew, fried plantain along with Efo riro, egusi, asaro, edika ikong, pounded yam, amala (Nigerian), Eru, Koki, Njama-njama, Ndole, Miondo, garri, roasted fish ( Cameroonian), Waachie, shito, banku, kenke, grilled tilapia, (Ghanaian).

They had a brilliant band in the evening that rocked the night away. If you are thinking of having your Nigerian or African wedding in London then do get in touch and I can check my diary for availability soon.

African wedding London

Beautiful reportage candid wedding photography in backlit sun, it was a stunning day for a wedding with lovely autumn light bathing the local parkland beside the church so we decided to make use of our time there and get some canids photos of the bride and groom and the wedding party mingling with all of the guests who had flown in from Africa, Nigeria and the Caribbean to be their on their wedding day. Many African weddings take place in London and they love to use the beautiful churches and fantastic choice of wedding venues from unusual places like The Shard to more traditional hotels such as The Mandarin Oriental or Grovesnor House Hotel. If you need any help organising your day we can recommend some fabulous wedding planners such as Arron from White Paper Events based at St Pancras Hotel.
